SUPERVISOR:
Before and After School Director or designee.
SUMMARY:
Active supervision of students in the school-based child care program under the guidance of a qualified leader, assistant director or director. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Completes all tasks assigned by director, assistant director, or leader
2. Follow procedures as stated in the ECS Procedures Manual
3. Participates and plays with students in structured and unstructured activities
4. Maintains safe conditions for students and staff
5. Follows and enforces program discipline policies and procedures
6. Assists with maintenance, proper storage, and repair of equipment, materials and supplies
7. Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality
8. Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, students, school staff and co workers
9. Follows district policies and goals and uses district facilities with care
10. Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. The assistant must be at least 16 years of age.
2. Assistants must work directly under the supervision of the director, assistant director or leader.
3. Each year of employment, the assistant must complete at least 15 clock hours of training.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5. Current First Aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain within thirty (30) days.
6. The assistant must demonstrate an ability to work with school age children.
