Insight Global is searching for a Benefit Claims Specialist to join the team of a large Assurance provider in Oklahoma City. They will be joining a large team of up to 100 claims adjusters, divvied under 5 Team Leads, allocated to the Supplemental Medical Benefits claims team. This candidate will be on-site for 6 weeks up to 3 months of training, before switching to a hybrid position, where they will be on-site 3 days, and remote 2 days. This person will reach out to customers and medical providers via phone and email ordering medical records, reviewing and investigating disability/supplemental medical claims to confirm coverage and determine legal liability, as well as processing paperwork. They will be working through a queue of claims, looking for missing pieces such as: proof if primary insurance paid, how much the customer owes, what the specific procedure was, etc. This person must be capable of self-managing to accomplish claim deadline requirements. Being detail-oriented is extremely important when processing claims to ensure accuracy and avoid errors, as well as customer service skills in which they used conflict resolution in the past. This position handles tough conversations and therefore, candidates will need to be empathetic and extremely customer service oriented.
