One of Central PA's leading providers of Behavioral Health Services is looking for Behavioral Health Technicians to join their team in Lancaster County. Behavioral Health Technicians provide therapeutic support services to children and adolescents with Autism and other behavioral health disorders. This is an ideal position for professionals with a background in teaching, mental health, behavioral health, or childcare who are passionate about improving the lives of children and teens with behavioral health disorders.
As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will:
- Work one-on-one with children and adolescents with behavioral disorders in their homes, schools, and communities
- Utilize positive reinforcement, emotional support, psychosocial rehabilitative activities, and crisis intervention strategies
- Work in a team alongside clinicians, teachers, and parents to support the child in making behavioral improvements and improving social and daily living skills
Education, Experience, and Training requirements for Behavioral Health Technicians:
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree is preferred (Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Counseling, Education, or another other Human Services related field)
- Previous Experience working with children or adolescents (therapeutic support staff, teachers, paraprofessionals, direct support professionals, childcare providers, instructional aides, personal care assistants (PCA), special education teacher's aides, etc.)
- A valid driver's license with reliable transportation to get to the homes and schools of clients is required
- At least 21 years of age required
- Able to work a mix of day and evening hours
