SUMMARY: Provides excellent customer service through interactions with patients/customers, potential clients, and physicians by providing and processing information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about testing and services in both English and Spanish.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Answers all incoming phone calls and responds to customer requests.
  • Directs all incoming calls to appropriate departments, as necessary.
  • Enters kit orders for physicians and patients, including notes and any other appropriate information as requested.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves customer issues and complaints.
  • Resolves problems with shipping department regarding kit order issues.
  • Schedules appointments for physicians and patients to consult with biochemist and phlebotomist.
  • Receives and responds to GPL’s general voicemail.
  • Responds to questions via email.
  • Sends updates to patients and physicians as directed.
  • Participates in multiple projects simultaneously, must multi-task.
  • Displays a continual positive and professional attitude in all circumstances and cares for customer requests with the utmost respect and compassion.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent reading and writing skills in English and Spanish. Professional verbal and written communication skills and phone etiquette.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Math aptitude preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must possess an upper level experience in computer software including Microsoft Office software, Outlook and internet. Knowledge of office equipment, printer, copier, fax machine, telephones, and calculators. Ability to multi-task and work as a team member with other staff members.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding in order to carry out resolution of problems involving customer situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
