Role Summary

Cleaning technicians are responsible for keeping our workplaces clean and sanitary. They commonly work with chemicals, machinery, and heavy equipment to scrub floors, mop walls, disinfect surfaces, and more.

Cleaning technicians may also be tasked with handling waste or debris from their cleaning activities. This might include disposing of trash, sweeping up dirt and dust, or vacuuming carpets or floor mats.

Role Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Observing safety procedures when using equipment such as ladders, or power tools to avoid accidents.
• Cleaning floors with mops, brooms, or vacuum cleaners.
• Cleaning windows, walls, and doors using various cleaning agents.
• Cleaning surfaces such as tile floors, carpeting, countertops, sinks. and toilets.
• Cleaning furniture using dust cloths or brushes, as well as vacuum cleaners or shampooers.
• Cleaning floors using scrubbing machines with rotating brushes and detergent solutions.
• Cleaning surfaces using spray bottles of cleaning agents on large surfaces such as walls or ceilings.
• Washing walls with a sponge and mild detergent solution or by using a high-pressure sprayer to remove stains and spots.
• Cleaning walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors, and other surfaces using cleaning agents and equipment such as vacuum cleaners and scrubbing machines.
• Collecting garbage gondolas throughout production departments and disposing properly.
• Cleaning technician performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED Required

Experience

• None

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated proficiency in working with various machines/equipment and the ability to diagnose and solve issues relative to machinery.
• Ability to demonstrate use of standard powered and non-powered tools.
• Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with all Team Members, contractors and vendors to follow all directives and instructions.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work with a team.
• Work independently with direct supervision.
• Ability to manage and prioritize time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of the manufacturing process a plus.
• Working knowledge/general use of computers.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule during peak periods.
• BILINGUAL- SPANISH A MUST

This position operates on the production floor of the warehouse and in office spaces. This role routinely operates tools and various production equipment
