Role & Responsibilities:

• The Board Certified Behavior Analyst is responsible for implementation of the student’s behavioral plan, monitoring the student’s progress, working with the school based team of professionals who are overseeing the student’s plan, assisting with student evaluations, revising and updating the behavioral plan. In addition, the BCBA is responsible for communication with their supervisor on a scheduled basis regarding issues pertaining to the status of the students.
• Assist in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments
• Assist in developing the student specific Behavioral Intervention Plan
• Attend all student related meetings
• Implement the student’s specific behavioral plan
• Data collection of student’s progress
• Work with the school based team and school personnel on a daily basis

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in education or a related field.
• Special Education license required
• Experience: Two plus years of experience as a child behavioral specialist in a therapeutic milieu
• Understanding of the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Collaborative Problem Solving
• Crisis Intervention knowledge and capability
• Experience in direct behavioral support to school personnel
• Experience working with parents
• Dual certification with BCBA and SAC/SW is preferred.
