JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to assist in managing the day-to-day accounting and finance requirements of our clients. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, excellent time tracking skills, ability to learn quickly and follow directions, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable, and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
This is a part time (est. 10-15hr/week) position with room for growth.
Hourly rate: Competitive, DOE
Job Duties:
- Use Quickbooks for the following functions:
- Cash management including A/P check writing, deposits, and petty cash
- Accounts receivable
- Client billing
- Establish, maintain, and close accounts as necessary
- Bank reconciliations
- Transfers of funds between accounts
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, both for internal review and client-side
- Assist in annual preparation of client tax organizers
- Assist with other recurring and non-recurring tax payments as appropriate
- Time tracking and record keeping
Educational and Other Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (unofficial transcript required prior to interview)
- Pass background check (Upon conditional job offer/services agreement)
- Mid-level proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop)
- Minimum of 5-years experience in bookkeeping or accounting as a virtual assistant
Essential Work Skills/Knowledge:
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Dedicated team player able to problem-solve, work without supervision, and meet deadlines
- Driven and resourceful
- Polished and professional customer service skills
- Proficient use of technology, including Mac & Windows operating systems, printers, scanners, and general networking operations.
- Solid time management skills
Desired/Preferred:
- Experience in Timeslips (or other legal billing software)
- Proficiency in Mac OS AND iWork programs (Numbers & Pages)
