Job Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTION: Reports to the Bookstore Manager. Performs general cashiering duties in addition to assisting bookstore manager and bookstore staff with day-to-day operations.
Job Duties
- Perform cashiering duties.
- Assist students by issuing textbooks, securing required materials, and return of books
- Answer telephone and sales counter inquiries.
- Assist with receiving merchandise, textbooks and instructional materials
- Assistance with inventory by straightening, filling, and re-stocking of bookstore sales floor.
- Receiving, pricing, and displaying of merchandise as directed.
- Assist with annual bookstore inventory.
- Physical receiving of merchandise and books.
- Other duties as assigned by Bookstore Manager.
Mandatory Qualifications
(M1) Experience working in a fast paced environment.
(M2) Experience with computers and Microsoft Office Programs.
(M3) Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
(D1) Experience dealing with the public.
(D2) Experience in an educational environment.
(D3) Experience with SCT Banner.
(D4) Experience with textbook ordering and management.
