Branch Specialist (Universal Banker) Spanish Speaking Preferred
Job description
The Branch Specialist will be responsible for most or all of the following duties:
- Establishes relationships with customers and provides consistent superior customer service.
- Meets assigned cross-sell and referral goals by recognizing appropriate products or services for customers.
- Processes deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, and verifying customer balances. Researches and analyzes customer's account(s) data to resolve customer problems.
- Balances ATM, vault, and courier and night drop transactions.
- Assists customers with safe deposit box access and closure.
- Balances cash drawer within bank guidelines.
- Opens new customer accounts.
This is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours/week with availability for flexible hours to work within incumbent's schedule. However, candidates seeking fulltime hours are encouraged to apply. Consideration for taking this to a fulltime position will be given.
This position will primarily work out of the Timberville and Broadway branches and will work in the Saturday rotation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Possess effective interpersonal skills to relate to all audiences with desire to interact and build lasting relationships with prospective clients and maintain relationships with current clients. Proficient organizational skills with ability to function in a flexible work environment.
- Proficient basic pc skills to include MS Office products.
- Basic math skills with ability to count cash and coin of all denominations.
- Ability to master software skills within branch banking core system and other related software.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and/or in writing.
- Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries.
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of customer service and cash handling (preferred).
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Current driver’s license to travel to other bank branch locations and other bank-related travel.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- The employee regularly stands and uses hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee regularly is required to talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- The work is performed regularly in a retail bank branch setting.
- The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
Travel:
- Ability to travel to other branch locations to fill in for staffing needs as necessary.
