Friday through Tuesday 6:30a - 2p
High volume breakfast / lunch cafe.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, handle high volume, and willing to work a flexible schedule.
Compensation will be based on experience. Huge BONUS plan for the perfect professional.
Responsibilities:
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Cook food in various utensils or grillers
Prepare food to order
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly, including rotation, handling, and dating
Check quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Skills:
Proven experience as a Cook
3-5 years kitchen experience
Experience in using cutting tools and cookware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
Maintain sanitary standards; before, during and after service.
Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Very good communication skills
Certified Food Manager is a plus
