TapRoom Beer Co. is situated right in the heart of the North Park & University Heights neighborhoods of San Diego, CA. Operating a 7-bbl Premier Stainless pub-style brewhouse, our brewing program has garnered critical acclaim throughout local and international platforms in only its short 2.5 years on the map. Job Summary

We are searching for a brewery assistant / assistant brewer (min. 0-2 years of exp) to join our brew team and continue executing our high quality brewpub operations within our community. This role is situated for 30 - 40 hrs weekly, depending on production requirements, and will recognize compensation DOE.

The new member will work directly with the Head Brewer, and responsibilities will grow according to training and existing aptitude. We require someone who is technically-minded, a positive contributor, and is welcoming to challenge and problem-solving.

Specific Responsibilities

Operate packaging, cellaring (CIP, additions, etc), and fermentation systems

Collecting and record necessary production data

Aid in mechanical and operational upkeep within facility

Perform weekly deliveries to local accounts as required

Assist with micro-canning operations 1-2x weekly

Adherence to recipes and procedures as directed with keen attention to detail

Excited engagement in recipe, process, and operational improvements

Receiving and organization of raw materials, cooperage, etc

Work festivals, off-site events, and tastings, as scheduled, alongside TRBC team members

Work safely with hazardous chemicals

Near pathological reverence for the cleaning and sanitation of brewing equipment

Promote and maintain culture of inclusion, welcome, and communication

Inquire, research, and always be better

Requirements

Interest in craft beverages and fermentation

Minimum 0-2 years experience in a production/brewing-affiliate environment a plus

Demonstrable mechanical proficiency

Able to work in a physical demanding environment for 8 hours per day

Able to lift 55 lbs

Competent with (MS Word, Excel, Google Docs).

Excellent time management and earned autonomy

Able/willing to operate a manual pallet jack

Salary Range

50-55K Depending on Experience
