Job description
Essex Westford School District is seeking a full-time Building Trades Lab Supervisor/Builder at our Center for Technology, Essex program. This position will assist our Building Systems program instructor with student education, including record keeping, instructional assistance; leading groups of students in construction activities; classroom and fieldwork/laboratory safety, security, set-up, and organization.   • Minimum of an associate degree or the equivalent of two years of study (48 credits) at an institute of higher learning.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the construction industry performing related work.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Rough and finish carpentry; concrete and masonry construction; framing, roofing, flooring, plaster, and drywall work; interior and external painting; and building design Plumbing and electrical troubleshooting, both basic and advanced, is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training certification.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain First aid and CPR training.
  • Experience working with children/adolescents and adults, especially those with special needs or at risk of dropping out of school preferred but not required.
  • Hold (or be eligible to hold) a valid Vermont CDL license with a school bus driver endorsement is preferred but not required
