As a Business Analyst, you will help define, design, and develop a next-generation banking platform for a commercial financial provider in the Washington, DC area. This enterprise-level Digital Transformation project is creating a new-start solution that supports the broader FinTech sector and will transform how financial institutions engage with clients and customers.
You will work directly with senior clients, cross-functional technical team, and the project manager to understand requirements, organize and maintain the technical roadmap, and support the programmatic and process aspects that make this program a success. You will combine your deep expertise in consulting with expert-level abilities in problem solving to increase the project's operational impact while minimizing delivery risk.

• You have strong process management, negotiating, influencing, and problem resolution skills
• You have experience with requirements gathering, refinement, and analysis with a keen eye for understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders
• You understand and have experience working in an Agile development environment
• You have experience facilitating the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders
• You can ensure solutions meet the business needs and requirements
• You have experience identifying the current- and future-state business processes
• You have experience helping the business stakeholders envision the future and how their work will need to change to support the future

• You have 3+ years of experience with IT projects, requirements gathering and analysis
• You have at least 1 year of business analyst experience supporting a financial services or bank organization, FinTech, payments processor, credit card company, or similar organization
• You have experience developing business cases, operational and functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and business process diagrams

• You have a BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or similar
• You have experience working with back-end developers, user interface/user experience teams, and are familiar with the Lean UX methodology
• You have broad experience across technical components including infrastructure, network, applications, data, and information security
• You have experience in a project leadership role, such as deputy project manager or sub-system lead
• You are a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
• You have experience working in a technology stack that includes Micronaut framework
• You have experience working with Google Cloud Platform and Computing Services

What your day will look like:

• You will meet with client stakeholders to solicit and help determine business needs and interpret them at a high level to document requests.
• You will conduct analysis on client requests to identify the proper scope of a solution and help leadership and technical resources determine tools and services to accomplish the request.
• You will document these business and technical solutions in a variety of formats including business cases, operational and functional requirements, user stories, use cases, business process diagrams, mockups, wireframes, and/or any other method necessary to communicate a potential solution to stakeholders.
• You will provide task coordination for developers who are conducting development tasks to ensure that requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented according to stakeholders needs.
