Business Data Analyst (FT)

Our client, Worldlink Holdings LLC is looking for an experienced Business Data Analyst to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven, creative thinker to work with a dynamic and growing company.

The position will be responsible for performing analyses and assisting with developing tactical and strategic recommendations that drive operational decisions and/or initiatives. They will conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, and related research and compile findings in formal reports and presentations as needed. They are also responsible for learning the functionality of the insurance administration system being implemented (Nexsure) to serve as a functional expert to help the business identify the best ways to use the system. The role is hands-on and will require the ability to independently manage projects of varying complexity, while also serving as an embedded team member on larger or more complex projects.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Partner with management to define business goals, research, gather, and analyze data as requested.
  • Track and provide status reports for management.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools such as dashboards and visualizations for formal presentations.
  • Work with team members to define requirements for forms and programs as well as with outside vendors to map required data to rollout forms and programs.
  • Undertake data entry, data maintenance, and database development and management, including familiarizing end-users with database structure and function.
  • Assist with determining operational objectives by studying business software and functions.
  • Gather and document information and evaluate output requirements and formats.
  • Improve systems by studying current operational practices and designing modifications where needed.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements.
  • Develop policies for data governance.
  • Manage relationships both internal and external relationships to provide best in class service, drive growth and respond to escalating needs in a timely manner.
  • Understand and act in accordance with all compliance, professional, and transparency standards to better serve clients. These standards include but are not limited to the Company’s Quality Assurance practices and Errors and Omissions avoidance policy.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Five years of relevant experience as a Business Data Analyst
  • Self-starter: takes initiative and can proactively communicate and escalate issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Efficient prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also working effectively in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and able to work following established procedural guidelines.
  • Prior experience using database tools and spreadsheet software such as MySQL and Excel.
  • P&C licensed a plus, or willingness to obtain license if required.
  • Prior Insurance agency/company experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agency Management Systems (EPIC, AMS 360, Nexsure) preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
