Velosio is looking for a
Business Data Analyst
to be an integral member of the Operations Team.
As a
Business Data Analyst at Velosio you will be responsible for performing business analysis using various techniques such as statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining. This role will compare actual performance against metrics that drive budgets and forecasts. Data will come from various sources and will be used to explain unexpected results as well as improve the drivers used to forecast future results.

- Maintain drivers and metrics used for business modeling
- Analyze actual performance against forecast
- Determine best practices and develop actionable insights to improve predictable results
- Identify issues and recommend solutions to improve source data
- Build reports and dashboards for use by practice leaders to drive better decision making
- Responds to ad-hoc reporting requests from practice leaders
- Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings
- Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
- Assist in implementing and developing systems to capture business operation information
- Continuously improves knowledge through research and self-study
- Identify and make recommendations to improve processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with data modeling techniques
- Highly competent in data modeling using Excel and Business Intelligence tools
- Experience with Data Visualization best practices
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong research capabilities
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
