Sway Creative Labs (madebysway.com) is looking for a Business Development Director to help accelerate the growth of our challenger agency already punching above our weight. We’ve gained our reputation by being the secret weapon for ambitious brands and brand managers delivering exactly what they want, and what they never knew they wanted. This role calls for a strategic leader with a keen understanding of how to further our brand and deepen our client roster. We’re looking for a Biz Dev leader that can truly understand and communicate Sway’s unique value proposition as an integrated shop that marries message to medium and media.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in new business development - specifically in the advertising / marketing industry; experience in the digital and social spaces is a big plus
- A passion for the industry and where it’s going
- A residence nearby our Norfolk, VA offices would be preferable; though we definitely want to talk to exceptional remote candidates
Job Responsibilities:
- Execution and ongoing development of our strategic growth plan
- Leveraging your contacts, charisma, and hustle to secure consequential meetings for the agency
- Actively seeking and leading our response to RFPs that align with our target verticals and capabilities
- Contributing to the development of proposals, presentations, and planning for prospect-facing opportunities
- Nurturing existing client relationships and prospect communication via regular check-ins, Sway promotional materials, in-person interactions, etc.
- Elevating Sway’s communications to ensure an engaging and cohesive cadence with potential clients and partners
- Helping to vet opportunities against our capacity, capabilities, and currency

- Confidence to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact
- Deep understanding of our service offerings and their benefits to prospects

Benefits:
- Base Salary. To be discussed based on experience level, but starting at $100,000 annually with commission bonus on new business courted and closed
- Meeting Incentives. Bonus incentives for consequential meetings secured, regardless of their resulting in acquired business for the agency
