Summary
As Business Development Manager, you must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, a strong sense of integrity and superb organizational and time management skills. You must be competent in time management, be able to organize a sales strategy and possess great presentation skills. You must also be a self-starter and problem solver who keeps the customers’ best interest at heart. This position conducts sales calls on existing, and potential customers. The primary purpose of these sales calls is to create opportunities for the sales of A3 Communications product offerings such as Networking, Security, AV, but not limited to. The ultimate goal is to create enhanced relationships with the territory such that A3 Communications can build profitable backlog with both hard bid and negotiated projects thus delivering the goals as established by A3 Communications sales management.

Essential Functions*

  • Work with the Cook & Boardman organizations to develop and respond to projects that blend electronic systems and traditional door hardware requirements
  • Coordinate technical participation on project bids and early budget requests
  • Build demand via initiating contact with prospects, General Contractors, Consultants, Architects and End Users via existing sales relationships and project oriented requirements within assigned territory
  • Work with prospects to develop a deep understanding of their needs, educate as necessary, review specifications, and translate all into solutions that satisfy their demands
  • Conduct onsite presentations to prospects that showcase the services and products of the company
  • Effectively communicate features and benefits of solutions and manage prospect expectations
  • Manage the complexity of proposals, contracts, lease agreements and service level agreements
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the service offerings of the company
  • Perform sales procedures through activities and opportunities in ConnectWise and remain compliant
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and ensure sales opportunities are compliant with company policy
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and how it relates to customers’ needs
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for entering time and expenses in ConnectWise as it occurs
  • Understand processes in ConnectWise by completing assigned training materials and blueprints on ConnectWise University
  • Any additional duties as required

Minimum Qualifications*

  • Outside sales experience with selling any of the following: Security services and products, IT infrastructure, contract hardware solutions
  • Possess a track record of managing the customer commitment, negotiation, and closings of the sales process
  • Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships
  • Enjoy working with customers and external audiences
  • High energy and drive with good negotiation skills
  • Proficient with general office applications
  • Strong organizational, presentation and customer service skills
  • Skill in preparing written communications and materials
  • Interpersonal skills, such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer care
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment
