The salary range for this position is between
$70k - $84k. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors including location, experience, and skill set.
Job Summary:
Fragrance.com is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to add to our growing business intelligence and analytics team. The ideal candidate should possess both technical and business knowledge and have the ability to organize and present complex/raw data in a way that tells a compelling story, provides actionable insights and drives business decisions. We are seeking a team player who excels at understanding the needs of the customer, understanding our data sets, is able to create dynamic reports for our business users, and develop novel insights into our rapidly growing business. The ideal candidate is a curious, self-motivated, team player, who has deep analytical and data skills, outstanding communication skills, and can tell stories through data.

Responsibilities:
- Write SQL code to extract and manipulate data from database systems
- Analyze complex data sets, track and measure KPIs, build critical reports, and draw key insights
- Analyze sales and operational performance and provide actionable insights to key internal stakeholders
- Identify key metrics to better understand and evaluate the performance of various business processes
- Support the design, build, and maintenance of automated reporting, dashboards, and analysis to enable our team to self-service the majority of their regular BI data needs
- Analyze company performance across product, marketing, operations, finance, and more
- Transform raw data into meaningful and useful analysis
- Develop intuitive yet scalable reports and dashboards to track performance and aid in planning and decision making
- Help define metrics, build KPIs, and suggest improvements to the business
- Proactively identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve the business
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years in a BI or Data Analyst role
- Strong SQL querying skills required
- Must have expert level Excel skills. VBA/macros are a plus)
- Strong mathematics, statistics background
- Deep analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate raw data into actionable business insights
- Strong understanding of database concepts
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate numbers into a story
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or similar BI platforms a plus
