SUMMARY

The Server position is the face of the restaurant and has considerable influence on its patrons’ experience. They must maintain a professional and friendly demeanor and offer timely assistance to customers in order to ensure that their needs are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following:

· Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.

· Requests additional supplies as necessary.

· Follows set-up procedures.

· Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks.

· Greets members and guests.

· Mixes, prepares and serves drinks according to the recipes approved by the Clubhouse Manager.

· Collects payment for drinks served.

· Reports complaints to a manager as soon as they occur.

· Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment.

· Maintains records of liquors, beers, wine, and sundries to ensure par stock is always maintained.

· Maintains daily inventory and records indicating drinks in the greatest demand.

· Cleans and lockups according to prescribed procedures.

· Attends staff meetings as required.

· Perform other duties as assigned by management.

· Presenting menus, answering questions and offering suggestions, the Food and Beverage Server will guide patrons through the restaurant offerings and eventually take down their chosen orders.

· Responsible for bringing orders from the kitchen to customers, Food and Beverage Servers must remember where to bring each order or maintain an organized record of order to which he or she can refer.

· In order to ensure that tables are prepared for each party, the Food and Beverage Server must clear tables of all plates, cups, and flatware after a party leaves, wipe down tables and properly re-set them with clean tableware.

· Food and Beverage Servers ensure that patrons receive their bills in a timely manner and that all orders are properly listed and priced.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The position may require occasional lifting of products weighing up to 20 pounds.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to stand for extended periods of time; bend, stretch and reach;

2. Prior server/bartender experience.

3. High standards of integrity and reliability.

4. Must be 18 to serve alcohol pursuant to Florida statutes.
