PURPOSE OF JOB:

Assist with all aspects of delivery of care for patients having procedures in Vascular Hybrid OR. Includes: assisting physicians during endovascular and OR procedures, operating specialized equipment.

Perform with surgeon: Diagnostic and interventional radiological and OR procedures. Operate all radiological equipment plus other ancillary equipment needed for procedure. Ensure all paperwork and computer entries adequately completed.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:

1. Patient Care: Provide care to patient and assist physician, communicate proper information, organize work flow, perform Endovascular and OR procedures following established protocols with in Hybrid OR, ensure radiation safety and complete exams in a safe and timely manner.

2. Patient Documentation and Departmental Records: Compile and document in Maclab system and other computer systems.

3. Departmental Coordination: Troubleshoot; perform daily maintenance/quality checks; arrange equipment servicing. Actively participates in and supports department quality initiatives and fiscal goals.

4. Work Behavior and Conduct: Performs all duties in a prompt and professional manor. Demonstrates SERVICE ideals. Work in a team atmosphere.

Professional Growth and Development: Attend educational and training sessions to enhance professional and personal knowledge and awareness. Maintain required certifications/licenses.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Registered by ARRT within 1 year or Graduate from Associates Cardiovascular Technology program or Associates program in Diagnostic Imaging.

Certification as RCIS highly encouraged if a CVT or RT

BLS certification

ACLS certification (within one year of hire)

Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in IR or cath lab experience preferred

**Thorough knowledge of sterile technique/ vascular anatomy, Endovascular/peripheral interventions

Other Skills: Good communication and customer serviceskills. The ability to work with computers and work in a close team atmosphere.
