Job description

• PERKS for this position: private onsite living quarters (one bedroom apartment with living area, full kitchen and bath), free utilities (water, sewer, electric, gas), free access to full laundry facilities, evening family-style meal with residents (excluding Wednesday evenings). This is NOT a rental and is exempt from Missouri landlord/tenant regulations regarding occupancy and evictions. A single person or couple who fulfill the expected duties of the position may reside there.
• High school graduate or equivalent certificate
• Keeps confidential information and resident identities a secret within the walls of Shared Blessings
• Can pass background check and drug screening
• Ability to follow written/verbal instructions
• Ability to communicate in a compassionate, accurate, respectful, fair, and caring manner with donors, visitors, residents, staff & volunteers, director, and Board of Directors
• Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
• Has good observation skills and situational awareness
• Desire to help improve the lives of others
• Physically able to climb stairs, lift up to 25 pounds, able to do light housekeeping, and simple maintenance chores like changing lightbulbs or furnace filters
• Provide supervision and follow up on resident tasks at 8:30AM to ensure kitchen, pantry, cooler, rooms, etc are all clean and ready for tours by donors
• Possess basic internet literacy and skill to operate basic office equipment: computers, printers, phones
• Will staff the office 6AM to 8AM and 8PM to 10PM 5 days a week. Turn off alarm system at 6AM and turn alarm system back on at 10PM 5 days a week.
• Will be substitute phone desk worker when regular staff is unavailable or additional backup is required
• Keep all cameras and Ring doorbells charged and operational.
• Assign weekly task/chore lists for residents
• Remain DRAMA FREE and calm/collected at all times
• Walk the grounds several times daily to collect trash to maintain a tidy and professional exterior
• Other duties as assigned
