Job description

Craftsmen Contractors is looking to hire Skilled Carpenters for the Baton Rouge, La. area. This will be for upcoming projects. Seeking Carpenters with Finish, Rough, Trim and Form experience.

Pay is in the range of $18 - $25 per hour depending on experience.

No per diem is offered for this position.

Job Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications
• Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
• Wood blocking, plywood sheating and stud relocation.
• Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
• Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines

Job Requirements:

• Will need to have at least 2 years of Carpentry experience.
• Have basic hand tools and ALL PPE for the job.
• Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity.
