Cash Application Specialist Will:*

  • This is a HYBRID Role (3 Days Week in NYC HQ & 2 Days Week Remote).
  • Be a member of the Cash Control team, reporting to the Treasury Supervisor
  • Download payments from online bank portals (M&T Bank, Signature Bank, and JP Morgan)
  • Apply payments to invoices in the company’s ERP system, Great Plains, on a daily basis
  • Process credit card payments for customers paying in Canadian dollars
  • Track payments that are unable to be applied and collaborate with the Sales and A/R teams to apply those payments
  • Monitor a central inbox for inquiries from other departments regarding payment application status
  • Respond to inquiries in the central inbox in a professional and timely manner
  • Investigate inquiries on payment application status and contact the banks for additional information when necessary
  • Review aged unapplied cash and determine solutions to apply those payments
  • Collaborate with the Treasury and Accounting teams to resolve reconciling items between payments received in the bank and payments applied on a monthly basis
  • Assist with additional projects as needed

Cash Application Specialist Job Requirements:*

  • 1-3 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable or Treasury role with a focus on payment applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience with Great Plains or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Organized and detail-oriented
