Fuel Thy Cells is San Diego’s first sea moss shop that makes sea moss gels, drinks, products, superfood bowls and other vegan eats.

We have an amazing team and are looking to add more positive and health-conscious humans who want to be part of a movement, sharing sea moss serving San Diego and beyond.

This position is working at our shop at 6186 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92115 as a cashier/customer facing. Your fast, friendly, courteous interactions will leave a lasting impression on our customers - so a positive and genuine attitude is a must.

Duties include:

Promptly greeting customers, taking orders, ringing up sales at the cash register, answering phones, keeping supplies stocked, cleaned. Maintain clean display, windows, tables, floors, etc during down time from customers. Closing or opening shifts will have cleaning, prepping, chopping, stocking, organizing inventory, etc.

This position is for 20-30 hours a week. There is some heavy lifting up to 15 pound boxes when stocking. The ability to arrive at work on time and maintain a positive attendance record is also important.

Fuel Thy Cells was established in 2020, selling sea moss at community roots Pop Ups, Vegan Festivals, and Farmers’ Markets. Our Brick and Mortar Shop opened at 6186 University Ave in November 2021 after an almost year-long process of getting city permits to build a brand new commercial kitchen under health department regulations. But it was all worth it to have our custom Grade A industrial kitchen to serve the growing demand for 100% wildcrafted sea moss and sea moss products.

Our shop is the heart and soul of our business - it’s where all our sea moss products are created with love and intention and integrity that we sell at markets, ship across the country, or sell to the people who walk through our doors looking for health and hope.

Most importantly we are looking for someone with great energy, open to continually learning and growing while sharing the benefits of sea moss, vegan and alkaline lifestyles as an integral part of the Fuel Thy Cells small yet mighty team.

Please be punctual, professional, reliable, and communicative. We have shifts available for both weekends and weekdays.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
