Nature of Work

Under the direction of a Recreation Supervisor, performs daily concession stand operations, including preparing and serving products, processing season passes, and collection of money. Admits the public into the facility, and maintains a clean, safe, and efficient facility.

HOURS
Hours will vary, up to 19 hours per week. Schedule includes days and evenings. Facility is open 7 days a week.

Job Duties

  • Perform facility opening and closing procedures.
  • Operate cash register and credit card machines.
  • Complete transactions through cash register, collect money and give correct change (following proper money handling procedures).
  • Answer telephone, provide information and perform public relations.
  • Keep records and accurately complete daily reports.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in a sanitary manner.
  • Maintain product supplies and minimize waste.
  • Re-stock and rotate product.
  • Obey health codes and keep food protected.
  • Maintain clean work areas, empty garbage, pick up debris on deck and grounds.
  • Wash dishes and food equipment, sweep and mop floors.
  • Obey and enforce facility rules and regulations.
  • Coordinates efforts to ensure Richfield is an equitable, inclusive and respectful organization and supports the City’s mission, vision and core values.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be 15 years of age or older.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous work or volunteer experience.
  • Food prep, customer service, money handling, cashier, janitorial, point of sales and ice skating experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Vietnamese or other non-English language(s).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Considerable physical activity such as standing, walking, kneeling, sitting, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, bending, stopping, squatting, and lifting materials and supplies ranging from 20-60 lbs.
