Job Title: Driver

SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for operating heavy, on-road trucks. Drivers will haul materials to and from various job sites based on customer and/or vendor requests. Driver must follow all SC Department of Transportation road safety regulations as well as OSHA safety requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, the Driver must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without special accommodations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Transport various materials to include, but not limited to rock, sand, gravel and clearing debris.
  • Recognize, verify and notate types of materials being transported and ensure not to exceed weight restrictions.
  • Inspect truck before and after any trips and submit inspection reports with daily work.
  • Complete hauling tickets/records for each hauling assignment and submit daily to Logistics Manager for invoicing.
  • Follow routes and assignments per instruction. Materials should be delivered in a timely and safe manner.
  • Observe OSHA, state and federal regulations.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a valid commercial driver’s license and medical card.
  • Knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance and road safety regulations.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 18 years of age.
  • Valid CDL (Class A) with a minimum of one year experience.
  • Able to pass a drug test.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Legally eligible to work in the US.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor/co-workers and understand direction from supervisor.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively, operate moving equipment and work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.25 per hour
