SHIFT MECHANIC

Titan America, LLC has an immediate opening for a Shift Mechanic for our Pennsuco Cement Division in Medley, FL. This wage non-exempt position is assigned to the Cement Department and will report to the Production Superintendent.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Provide mechanical maintenance, including repairs, lubrication, welding, alignment and any necessary functions to operate.
• Repair and maintain engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor system and production machines as necessary.
• Inspect used parts to determine change in dimensional requirements.
• Operate mobile equipments such as forklifts, bobcats, front-end loaders, dump trucks, dust trucks, overhead crane and portable welding machine.
• Receive training on unfamiliar equipment.
• Report equipment breakdowns to generate work orders.
• Communicate and maintain decorum over a two-way radio.
• Must work during assigned duties during kiln outage.
• Must be able to work in confined and/or hot environments as required.
• Must keep the equipment being operated, clean and safe.
• Must perform all duties assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications Required:

• Must read, speak and write English.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, overtime, on-call duties and beeper when necessary.
• Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear.
• Minimum G-3 welding certification.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Safety minded.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• AA degree or 2 year college or technical school, or 5 years related experience or training.
• Have a current driver’s license.

Shift: Rotating Shifts as required.
