Experienced Medical Assistant needed for busy specialist medical office located in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Candidates must be able to work early morning and late afternoon hours.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking insurance eligibility, check in and check out of patients, collecting co-pays, processing and following up on referrals, scanning documents, patient recall and general clerical duties. EMR experience is required. This position must also be available to perform tasks as Medical Assistant, including greet and room incoming patients, collect vitals and medical history, prepare all related documentation/RX, provide meticulous documentation into EMR, wound care, frequent phone conversations with patients giving lab and diagnostic test results.

Applicant MUST be proficient with vitals, drawing blood and be able to safely handle the collection of all laboratory specimens.

The qualified candidate for this role will have exceptional customer service skills, strong verbal and listening skills, effective patient communication on the phone and in person. Will also be a dedicated individual with a professional, friendly and compassionate demeanor, a self-starter, be able to take on additional tasks as applicable and be able to work independently as well as be an integral part of our team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.80 - $20.23 per hour
