Qualifications:
Current State Certification for Nursing Assistant

Current or eligible for certification in CPR and First Aid certifications from a recognized provider

Must have a valid proof of a negative TB test, or be willing to get tested.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The CNA Certified Nursing Assistant will provide basic nursing care to patients and residents within the scope of the nursing assistant responsibilities and performs basic nursing procedures under the direction of the licensed nurse supervisor.

Current Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant License (PLEASE INCLUDE LICENSE ON RESUME)

Driver's license and Social Security

Clean Background and Drug Screen

Responsibilities:
Understand and adhere to established Agency policies and procedures.

Perform personal care, bath, and hands-on care.

Complete appropriate visit records in a timely manner as per Agency policy and procedures.

Reports changes in the patient's condition, as well as the patient's needs to the supervisor.

Perform household services essential to health care in the home.

Ambulates and exercises the patient in their place of residence.

Performs simple procedures as an extension of the therapy or nursing services, e.g., range of motion (ROM) exercises.

Assists with medications that are ordinarily self-administered by the patient.

Attends in-service and continuing education programs as necessary.

Attends patient care conferences as scheduled.

Assist with planning and preparing meals.

Complete client’s shopping or accompanies them to do so successfully

Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents

Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Other duties as assigned
