We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Certified Veterinary Technician who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, has experience with x-ray and proper positioning, understands the importance of client education, and is a supportive and positive team player, works well with the veterinarians and other team members. Okatie Veterinary Center strives to support its team members to continue to develop their skills and knowledge while trying to find the balance of enjoying life. Okatie (pronounced "OH-kuh-tee") is an unincorporated suburban community west of Hilton Head Island, located in Beaufort and Jasper counties, in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Okatie takes its name from the nearby Okatee River, an estuary of the Port Royal Sound. The Okatie Veterinary Center just recently changed its name from Hilton Head Veterinary Clinic - Okatie. This clinic has been undergoing some amazing changes to the clinic and staff. We are looking for a certified veterinary technician that is looking for a new opportunity for growth and career development to join our amazing team.

• Certified Veterinary Technician, license must be current
• 1-2 years of veterinary experience preferred
• Working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Positive and supportive team member
