Roles & Responsibilities:

  • CFD analyst with responsibility of reviewing field issues and running simulations for the customers
  • Provide technical support on CFD projects in the form of high-quality technical reports and presentations
  • Able to interpret the flow physics and could assist customer in providing alternate solutions as required
  • Analyze and predict internal and external fluid flow distribution executing CFD analysis using ANSYS Fluent
  • Execute 3D CAD modeling for fluid body volume generation and geometry cleanup
  • Discretize fluid body geometry domains with high-quality mesh creation
  • Categorize and prioritize projects according to complexity and regions by clearly defining tasks and completion timelines

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or higher
  • Experience with CFD modeling software packages (ANSYS Fluent is highly preferred)
  • Knowledge of numerical modeling and methods such as turbulence modeling, multi-phase and non-Newtonian fluids.
  • Should have hands on experience in post processing techniques such as particle tracking, movie clip creation
  • Should have worked on unsteady (transient) simulations
  • Experience with 3D CAD packages (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Strong interest in and familiarity with downhole drilling process
  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the customers and project team
  • Highly motivated, articulate, self-starter and customer-oriented
  • Proficient in MS office products
