The Chemical Operator monitors, controls and troubleshoots chemical process systems and bulk packaging systems to ensure functioning within established limits. Monitors processes using SCADA/ProVOX/DeltaV controls and makes changes to maintain process within desired limits. Troubleshoots process and packaging problems and makes corrections to bring process back into control. Takes process samples and performs analytical work. Uses results to adjust process if necessary. Tours operating areas routinely to monitor process. Creates maintenance notifications. Unloads raw materials – Phosphoric Acid, Caustic Soda, KOH, Sodium Chlorate, Soda Ash and Lime. Makes solutions of materials and operates filtration processes. Loads trucks or railcars with solid or liquid materials.
Complies with documentation, written work instructions, procedural and applicable regulatory requirements (such as safety, environmental and housekeeping). Operates general mechanical tools and equipment as required to make minor repairs to equipment.

Minimum Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent;
2 years experience in a manufacturing facility in industrial maintenance, utility, warehousing or lead packing position.
