Job description
Responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, financial and budgeting efforts of the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participates with Senior Management in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to the company's operations.
- Assists Senior Management in the daily oversight of company operations including identifying opportunities for improvement and developing and implementing improvements.
- Insures that we stay in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements at the local, state and federal level. Oversee the completion of all required tax filings including all federal, state and local income tax returns prepared by the external CPA firm.
- Supervises and assists in the preparation of monthly financials for the company. Insure that the financials are timely, accurate and in compliance with GAAP. Manage the relationship with the external CPA firm and lead the year-end Review of the financial statements.
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards to protect the company's assets. Oversee risk management including insurance, safety, and workers compensation.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Finance Team and IT Team to achieve high performance.
- Develop and implement short and long-range departmental goals and objectives.
- Work with other leaders in the organization to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports and recommendations.
- Lead the annual forecasting and budgeting process.
- Maximize company cash flow making sure company processes are in place and followed to insure timely ordering, billing, and collections. Provide cash forecasting to help the company maximize its use of cash.
- Oversee credit function insuring appropriate levels of risk are maintained.
- Manage banking relationships to maximize the value to the company.
Qualifications
- Strong experience. We would prefer a CPA with at least 3 years of medium business experience as a Controller or CFO (company revenues in the $25-$200 million range).
- Hands-on. You are someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and work side by side with their team and other managers to achieve collective goals.
- Strong leadership. You are someone who can provide leadership and mentoring for staff development to about 10 people.
- Assertiveness and accountability. We ask that you be an individual who can take the initiative and follow through to accomplish goals. Likewise, you must set clear expectations and maintain accountability for staff.
- High energy. We are looking for a person who has passion for excellence and continuous improvement.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic.
- You have 3 or more years of experience in an operating company in a related industry 'retail, service or construction or manufacturing.
Compensation:
- Compensation will be in line with experience. Plan will include salary plus performance bonuses.
