Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Job Summary:

Our Coffee Import and E-commerce startup is looking for an experienced and motivated Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee all aspects of our business operations, including e-commerce, product/business development, accounting, corporate governance, project management, and supply chain management. Additionally, they will work closely with the CEO throughout the fundraising cycle. Applicant must be passionate with regard to fine/luxury products, social impact, and storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement e-commerce strategies to increase sales and expand our customer base.
• Conduct financial modeling and analysis to identify business opportunities, optimize profitability, and manage risks.
• Work closely with our coffee suppliers to ensure quality control and develop new products that meet customer demands.
• Lead business development efforts to grow our company's market share and brand awareness.
• Manage corporate structure, including legal and regulatory compliance, accounting, and reporting.
• Oversee project management to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services.
• Manage import/export logistics, including transportation, customs clearance, and inventory management.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage and mentor team and employees to ensure they are meeting performance goals and objectives.
• Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Develop financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
• Monitor and report on financial performance to stakeholders, including the CEO and board of directors.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions and investors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the coffee industry or e-commerce.
• Proven success in developing and implementing e-commerce strategies, product development, business development, and import/export logistics.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, as well as experience with corporate finance, accounting, and reporting.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
