Child Development Services Manager

Community Partnership for Child Development (CPCD) provides more than 1,800 children living in poverty or challenged by special circumstances with an early childhood education through Head Start, Early Head Start and the Colorado Preschool Program. But we aren’t just a free preschool. Our additional health, dental and family support services ensure that children enrolled in our programs are ready to succeed in school and life!

The Child Development Services Manager leads and manages Child Development Department child services programs, services, and systems to assure integrated, comprehensive Behavioral Health and Special Needs services to children and families. Plans, coordinates, and monitors special education programs, and behavioral health practices.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Development, Special Education, Educational Administration or other closely related field.
  • Three or more years of successful management and supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of early childhood instructional methods and training techniques including curriculum design principles, learning theory, group and individual teaching techniques, design of individual development plans, and outcomes assessment.
  • Knowledge of special education for children birth through age 5.
  • Knowledge of policies and practices involved in human resource management.
  • Knowledgeable about and skilled in the use computers and computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other software programs.
  • Must successfully complete a physical examination, drug screen and TB screening. In accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards, must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 unless accommodation/exemption is granted.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and if using a personal vehicle must maintain minimum liability insurance as determined by the State of Colorado.

Preferred:

  • Graduate degree in Early Childhood Education/Development, Special Education, Educational Administration or other closely related field.
  • Two or more years of successful teaching experience with primary responsibility for a classroom of infants, toddlers and/or preschool.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced working with Head Start, Early Head Start, and public or private pre-school agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and work with community resources.

Pay Scale:

  • With a BA $68,394.56/per year ($2,630.56/ per pay period)
  • With a MA $75,234.01 per year ($2,893.62/ per pay period)


Additional Benefits for Eligible Employees (25+ hours per week)
:

CPCD offers paid vacation time, paid sick time, and paid holidays/Breaks.

  • Paid Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Juneteenth, Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • Paid Breaks include 1-week for Spring Break (March), 1-week for Thanksgiving Break (November), and 2- weeks for Winter Break (end of December/beginning of January).
