NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.
The Administration and Planning Division is responsible for the management and oversight of administrative and operational services for the agency. This includes the daily management of the Office of Financial Management, the Office of Purchasing and Contracts, the Office of Operational Services, and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
The Office of Operational Services is responsible for coordinating and directing all facilities-related operational support services for both public and privately leased properties agency-wide, including space planning, telecommunications, security, and fleet operations.
The Department of Finance's Administration & Planning Division seeks an experienced and highly-motivated Laborer to assist in the installation of modular furniture, maintenance of furniture inventory, performing minor office repairs not requiring a licensed tradesmen, movement of heavy materials between agency offices.
The selected candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following duties:

- Under supervision assist with the movement and installation of modular furniture
- Assist with maintaining the warehouse furniture inventory
- Transport materials and assist with the installation of heavy equipment, computers and furniture
- Respond to a variety of facility work order requests such as minor painting, lock repair, floor repair, sit-stand
- Assist in the cleaning of space after each installation job
- Operate agency vehicles
Minimum Qual Requirements

2. There are certain medical and physical requirements.
License Requirements
Possession of a Motor Vehicle Driver License valid in the State of New York.

Preferred Skills
- CDL License
- Computer skills to access agency's work order and inventory systems
- Knowledge of Herman Miller system furniture

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
