Job description
Our client is looking for a Medical Biller to support the Claims Processor department with a Radiology company.
Required Experience:
Experience with claims billing and processing experience in either a medical office/medical billing company or insurance company
Experience with A/R follow up experience on commercial claims (Cigna, Aetna or United Healthcare)
Experience reviewing claims rejections through a clearinghouse website
Experience accepting payments over the phone is beneficial
Experience with Excel at intermediate or higher level would be helpful for report compilation
Critical thinking skills
Professional and friendly approach to interacting with patients, coworkers, managers, and billing clients.
Duties:
Will cover approximately 6 hours per week of patients calling in w/ inquiry on their accounts
The office assigns three people each day to negotiate patient financial counseling for individuals who have high out of pocket insurance plan obligations and are scheduled at one of the imaging center for which RAR provides the billing
