Job description
Interstate is seeking a Claims Examiner to join our team! This individual will be responsible for the receipt, processing, and resolution of household goods cargo claims and claim-related matters filed by our customers. This position works closely with other carriers, service providers, drivers, and crews to correctly determine liability assessments, and candidates must be able to develop a working relationship with repair firms and military claims offices.
Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
REQUIREMENTS
- One year certificate from college or technical school OR three to six months of related claims experience/training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have good communication skills and be comfortable communicating over the phone and via email. Must be able to deescalate claims situations.
- Position will require trips out of the office for claim inspection purposes or for training from time to time.
- Once hired, must complete the AMSA Certified Claims Analyst course.
