Clinical Research Coordinator

The clinical research coordinator will assume responsibility for study coordination and day-to-day project duties. This role includes: Recruiting study participants from a wide variety of clinical settings, including outpatient clinics and community health centers; administering screening instruments, interviews, and surveys; creating and managing databases and data analysis; corresponding with the Institutional Review Board and other regulatory groups; assisting with preparation of manuscripts for publication, research protocols, and grant submissions; managing program project plans, meeting agendas and minutes; and completing other health equity special projects in collaboration with principal investigators and other members of the research team.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple studies and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of study procedures
- Verifying participant eligibility for studies via medical record reviews
- Recruiting patients for study participation and obtaining informed consent
- Performing quantitative and qualitative data collection (e.g., face-to-face surveys, chart reviews) and data quality assurance checks
- Monitoring study inventory and purchasing supplies
- Maintaining study data using REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) or other programs
- Maintaining documentation of project plans, meeting agendas and minutes
- Preparing program study reports, presentations, annual reviews, and Institutional Review Board documentation
- Monitoring and evaluating protocol compliance
- Assisting with data analysis and preparation of manuscripts and conference presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Proficiencies in analysis software (e.g., SPSS, NVivo, Dedoose), survey instruments (e.g. Qualtrics, RedCAP) and skills in statistical programming (e.g. STATA, SAS, R) are beneficial.
1 year research experience (including as part of an undergraduate program)
- A background or interest in healthcare, health equity, community health, or public health.
