USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accepting applications for a Clinical Staff Pharmacist engaged in patient care, clinical pharmacy services, and teaching responsibilities. The position requires the applicant to provide patient care at LAC+USC Medical Center located across the street from the Health Sciences Campus. The candidate will precept P1 through P4 students for inpatient based introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences (IPPEs and APPEs) with an emphasis on interprofessional education (IPE). Clinical services include but are not limited to participating in interdisciplinary rounds for optimal use of patient medications, identifying and resolving medication related problems, medication reconciliation, and medication counseling and education. The candidate is responsible for training and evaluating resident and student pharmacists in the inpatient setting.

Additional responsibilities include supporting the development and coordination of IPE activities that will be used to train student pharmacists in collaboration with other health care professionals for interdisciplinary practice.

The Clinical Staff Pharmacist position requires an individual with a PharmD degree. Preferred experience includes a PGY1 hospital-based or ambulatory care practice residency, teaching and precepting IPPE and APPE students, and providing patient care in areas emphasized above.

The hourly rate range for this position is $62.00 - $72.11. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Degree from accredited (ACPE) school of pharmacy. Registered pharmacist in state of California. Hospital pharmacy experience. Familiarity with unit dose, IV admixtures and clinical pharmacy practice.
