The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full-time clinical-track faculty member in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
Major responsibilities include:
- clinical and didactic instruction at pre-doctoral and post-doctoral levels;
- participation in the department’s intra-mural faculty practice plan;
- scholarly activities; and
- collaboration with faculty from different departments/colleges.
Education Requirement:
Applicants must have:
- DDS/DMD or equivalent; and by time of appointment, successful completion of advanced training program in Pediatric Dentistry from a CODA-accredited institution; OR
- DDS/DMD or equivalent; and by time of appointment, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Certification; OR
- DDS/DMD or equivalent; by time of appointment, successful completion of advanced training program in Pediatric Dentistry; and minimum one year teaching experience in a CODA-accredited Pediatric Dentistry program.
Desirable Qualifications:
Desirable qualification:
- clinical care experience with medically compromised/special health-care need patients;
- patient care experience with conscious oral sedation;
- experience with hospital-based programs or clinical practice;
- record of effective teaching; and
- experience with community/outreach programs for underserved children.
