Job description
Sprezzatura seeks to fill a Scrum Master position on our expanding team. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Scrum Master performs tasks requiring management of a large-scale program, encompassing multiple projects. Candidates are strongly encouraged to have CMS and/or Government agency and Cybersecurity experience. Additionally, a background in Agile Software Development and/or Agile Transformations is required.
Tasks may include:
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Facilitate internal and external communication with stakeholders
- Facilitate quarterly planning meetings
- Work with and support multiple Scrum and Kanban teams utilizing knowledge in Agile methodologies
- Move team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques
- Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
- Assist the Product Owner through coaching and maintaining the Product Backlog

Desired Skills
- Deep knowledge of Agile and Agile Practices – Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, DevOps
- Requires 10+ years of performing IT project, program, or portfolio management workwith Cybersecurity organizations and products experience preferred.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree
- Agile Scrum Master certification required
- Experience practicing agile at scale
- Experience working within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is preferred
- Experience with large organization transformations
- Experience working with Director-level stakeholders
- Strong oral and written communications
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Proactive team player
- Comprehensive interpersonal skills
- Senior-level problem solving skills
- Experience with Federal/CMS contracting policies, planning, and management
- Knowledge of software and infrastructure, SDLC methodologies, and requirements analysis
- Must be able to use MS Office suite of tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with collaboration tools like Jira and Mural preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate is preferred.

- Location: 7500 Security Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21244 or Remote with approval (travel up to ~5% may be required)
- Veteran Preference: Yes.
- Citizenship/Security: U.S. Citizen/Green Card; Must be able to hold a federal security clearance.
