Sunnyside Retirement Community is actively seeking experienced and highly motivated Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.’s) to join the Healthcare team. Contribute quality work to a historically exceptional senior living community. In Healthcare, the selected candidate(s) will provide compassionate person-centered and person-directed care, and collaborate with staff to assist residents with activities of daily living (grooming, bathing, dining, moving, etc). C.N.A. 's are a crucial component to our successful operation. They are essential team members who build genuine relationships with residents, making a difference in the lives of our residents, their loved-ones, and the community. It is critical that the selected candidate(s) effectively and respectfully communicate both verbally and written with anyone they may come into contact with, including but not limited to; residents, their family, guests, co-workers, team-leaders, and more.

Full-Time & Part-Time

• Day shift: 7 AM- 3 PM, or 7 AM - 7 PM
• Evening shift: 3 PM - 11 PM

Essential Functions of the Job

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time. Additionally, employees will routinely sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 60 lbs or less and occasionally more than 60 lbs. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Employees may come into contact with body fluids and infection control practices are required. Operate patient care equipment such as, but not limited to, electric and manual high/low hospital bed, wheelchair, mechanical lifts, scales, etc. Minimal hazards if required Universal Precautions are followed. Employees must meet all training requirements as required by Federal and State regulations, and by Sunnyside.

Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination is required.
• Current Nurse Aide license through VA Board of Nursing required
• CPR and First Aide Certification required or ability/willing to obtain
• Must have completed 120-hour certification courses in Geriatric Nursing or is presently enrolled.
• Must have passed Virginia NACEP test after completion of 120-hour certification course.
• Must have current Nursing Assistant license through Virginia Board of Nursing
