CNC Machinist/Programmer - Temp to Hire Position
Pay-rate: $24-$33 DOE
Schedule: 3:30PM - 2:00AM - Monday-Thursday

Madden Industrial Craftsmen, a premier staffing agency, is currently seeking a highly skilled CNC machinist for our client in Tacoma, WA.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to very close tolerances
• Select and prepare tooling, conduct first article inspections, and make required offset changes to complete set-ups
• Utilize 4th Axis (rotary tables) to complete tasks, as required
• Work with small and large fabricated and cast parts
• Set up parts in the free state to minimize warping
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating and programming CNC machines
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
• Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed in a fast-paced environment
• Proven experience working with various materials, including Stainless, Leadloy, Brass, Delrin, 1045, 1050, etc.
• Proven understanding of speeds and feeds, and machine codes.
• Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. and possess good math skills (Trig, Geometry, Etc.).
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English are required.
• The successful candidate must also have a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance and must pass a physical and drug screen.
