Responsibilities:
Responsible for the collection and accurate submission of data to the appropriate registry for the BCBSM collaboratives that LHMC participates in, also to identify opportunities for quality improvement as it pertains to these collaboratives. Implement the identified improvements strategies and monitor the improvements via data utilizing plan do check act. Works in collaboration with the physician champions of the collaboratives and with members of the healthcare team to implement improvements as indicated on the appropriate score card for each collaborative. Will take on other duties as assigned, including being knowledgeable of regulatory requirements abstraction of patient charts, monitoring of quality data, and entering quality data into the performance improvement dashboard, graphing data, and taking the necessary action to improve quality measures.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Registered Nurse in the State of MI required. BSN preferred.
2. Minimum of one year experience in hospital, experience preferred in surgery (OR, PACU, Same Day Surgery) or caring for surgical patients in critical care setting (ICU, SICU, CCU, etc.)
3. Clinical chart review and abstraction experience preferred.
4. Knowledge of regulatory requirement preferred and quality improvement strategies.
5. Willing to work collaboratively with the health care team to improve care
