Physical Requirements
This position requires pushing or pulling objects over 50 pounds, working at heights above 4 feet, and climbing ladders. A full range of physical motion is required.
Shift
Days; Monday-Friday, typically 7:00 am-3:00 pm (37.5 hours per week) may require some overtime.
Job Summary
Hands on, working supervisor position. The Construction Supervisor position supports the research, teaching, and extension mission of the College of Agriculture, Food & Environment via the maintenance, repair, and construction of research facilities on the University research farms. The Construction Supervisor provides pre-execution design review for proposed projects, performs material takeoffs and cost estimates, obtains permits and schedules inspections as required. Work includes other duties as assigned. Operate trade appropriate equipment & tools. Self-directed continuing education on materials, means, and methods is expected.
