Job Description
The content being written is not super technical, but the person for the job should have a good understanding of accounting. They should be able to pick out a reliable source and talk about accounting subjects with ease and without deep research. Some topics you may be asked to write on include:
- Basic bookkeeping principles
- Sales Tax
- Payroll Applications
- Tax Deadlines
- Income Statements
Just to name a very few….
The content being written is surface-level since it will be used in promotional materials, but will be reviewed by accountants. So it very much needs to be accurate and not clunky. If interested, please include the word Lemon at the top of your cover letter.
We are hoping to find someone with accounting experience and marketing interest. There is room for growth with our agency and looking to find someone that can see themselves working with us long-term.
Experience:
- Accounting Experience: This can be a degree, internship, or work as a bookkeeper. As mentioned above, the most important thing is you are able to write about some of the listed subjects with little research.
- Marketing Experience: While we do not require specific marketing experience, we do expect you to know how to write in different tones (professional vs casual, for example).
Job Duties:
- Write blog articles
- Be able to pick blog subjects for clients depending on what services they offer and industry they niche in
- Write Social Media Captions as it relates to blog content, general accounting information, and other miscellaneous posts
***Rate is dependent on experience level and determined following a paid trial project.
