Job description

In this position you will work with a diverse team of aviation professionals and you will be the primary interface with several outside companies that provide contracted pilot training services to our airline. This is a full-time position that comes with flexible hours, but may require intermittent work outside of normal office hours (our pilots train around the clock.)
This position may require travel, and is an excellent introduction to airline training management. You will have some shared responsibilities with the Manager of Flight Training to ensure that training materials and pilot training schedules are appropriately maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Ensure Contract Training is conducted in accordance with all applicable regulations and to the highest level of safety
  • Execute and Maintain a Standardization Review for each contract training facility that meets the requirements of OPSPEC A031
  • Ensure that training providers are using current training materials and forms
  • Act as the primary interface between the company and contract training providers, contract instructors, and other entities as directed by the Director of Flight Training
  • Perform audits, inspections, and observations as required
  • Track the progress of all students assigned to contract instructors
  • Perform the duties of the Manager of Flight Training in their absence
  • Remain current on all Flight Training policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Flight Training

Job Qualifications:

  • Requires
  • Able to legally work within the United States
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Recommended
  • College Diploma, Associate’s degree or higher
  • At least two years of experience in a Flight Training department or as a professional pilot
  • Experience reading and interpreting regulations and/or performing audits
  • Experience with technical writing and business communication
