Each member of our team has a meaningful impact on the artist-fan relationship and how we choose to bring the vibrant world of music to life. The Brand Design Team is looking for a talented and passionate Copywriter to play a vital role in crafting compelling communications that reach artists and fans around the globe, as well as those across the Amazon organization. This person will work in close collaboration with our creative team, artist and label teams, brand partners, and various Amazon stakeholders.
A day in the life
The successful candidate will be a succinct, but engaging writer with an elevated voice and the
ability to write for different audiences, across many different placements. They must be a skilled multi-tasker with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deal with rapidly changing priorities. The candidate will also need to be able to quickly learn from feedback and apply that knowledge to future work. Candidates must be successful both as individual contributors and within a team environment, and be very comfortable working with cross-functional teams. Obsession with our end-customer is a must, and proven interest in music is a plus! The key job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Bringing the Amazon Music brand to life through engaging storytelling and succinct
- Developing copy to support new products or product features, seasonal promotions, major
- Collaborating with Marketing, Editorial, UX, and Design partners on creative production for
- Making informed copy decisions based on not just your own expertise, but on
- Being ready to nimbly pivot copy strategy based on the target audience, project, or channel
- Enforcing and refining copy style guides and messaging frameworks
- Staying up-to-date on greater Amazon guidelines that impact day-to-day work
- Helping to create scalable processes that elevate the strategic impact of messaging across the organization

About the team
The Brand Design Team is responsible for setting the standards for Amazon Music’s visual and written brand expression through various design and copy mechanisms, leveraged to maintain consistency and best practices across our organization. We work closely in partnership with the Amazon Music Creative Studio, helping to develop style guides, self-service tools, and other brand support mechanisms Amazon Music. We collaborate regularly with cross-channel creatives and business stakeholders and always with the primary objective of creating bar-
raising creative solutions that accurately drive Amazon Music’s core objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Expert ability to understand and then shape customer perception via compelling copywriting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills that can be leveraged with both internal
- Ability to manage a full-plate of tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to work on a diverse team, with a wide range of collaborators and stakeholders
