Do you understand risk around voluntary corporate action events? Do you align technology and digital solutions to mitigate lifecycle risk around corporate events? Do you thrive in a diverse and client centric environment, where delivering stellar client service is your number one priority?
- Manage the elective and announcement utility teams
- Manage the day to day risk of these teams, including work allocation & flows, day to day running of the function, training and development of staff including 1-2-1 and regular team meetings and client relationship
- Liaising with various Operations groups, IT, business representatives, on a regional and global basis
- Support the event management and processing of positions held by proprietary traders (Equity & FI), Prime Brokerage/Swap clients and stock lending positions within the Equity or FI business., performing front to back processing comprising of notification, data capture, instructions, bookings, and risk reporting/controls
Your team
The team manages all of UBS LLCs global positions through the lifecycle of corporate events. The department is currently going through an exciting period of change and growth with major technology implementation, as well as restructuring the workflow to maximize STP opportunities. This dynamic team comprises of motivated risk aware staff with a vast amount of experience coving all markets.
Your expertise
- 10 + years’ experience in managing a voluntary corporate actions team in an IB / Broker Dealer environment preferred
- Understanding of controls and process around client election receipt and onward delivery to agents/DTC via relevant election system ( DTCC/SWIFT/Citi Direct etc)
- You are knowledgeable of process re-engineering and implementation planning skills
- You display proven leadership qualities, leading by example and building strong focused teams
- Displays a client focused mindset, with examples how they enhanced the client experience in previous roles
- Displays a risk manager/risk mindset
- Displays a curious mindset, that drives innovation and root cause analysis
- Analytical and metrics driven, embracing Digi ops technology to highlight key metrics to drive change
